Ballroom Dance – December 12, 2009

This is the third year in a row that we took part in the Warsaw Ballroom Dance Association’s dance season.  One thing I always love about this event is that the dance floor is always full ALL EVENING!  These people really enjoy dancing and most of them know how to do it really, really well.  It was a lot of fun to watch them swing and sway out there while we played waltzes, foxtrot, cha-cha, samba, tango, a little rock for good measure and just about everything else…  We threw in plenty of Christmas music as well to fit the season.

The Blue River Big Band prides itself on providing great music for ballroom dances and at the right tempo, which is of utmost importance for dancers!  We use the official NDCA (National Dance Council of America) tempo chart to be sure that we don’t play a tune too slow or too fast.

The event was held on December 12, 2009 from 7:30-10:30pm at the North Webster Community Center (State Road 13, 301 N. Main Street, North Webster, IN).
